Designed by an engine builder this bracket was designed after our low mount bracket. Due to the success with the strength we found in the low mount bracket system we decided to flip the front bracket over and create an extremely strong alternator bracket that holds the alternator closer to the factory location.

This brackets strong design starts with the 6061 Aerospace alloy its made with.
 
A common problem we would see with engines being driven hard is the amount of belt shake/slap under high rpm loads. These belt shakes would prematurely wear the belts out eventually causing failures. A simple way we have overcome that issue is with the addition of an idler pulley on the bracket. We have utilised a generic idler pulley from a common car make so anyone can purchase this idler from any auto store or on our site here. The bracket can also be used without the idler.
 
Commonly, Windsor alternator brackets are a little confusing when it comes to ordering the correct one as there are 302 & 351 blocks. We have simplified this so there is just one bracket for all the blocks that are using the early style timing cover and passenger side inlet water pump. 
 
There is also no need to worry about cylinder heads as this bracket and alternator placement will not touch the heads at all. This means that any cylinder head combination can be used including Cleveland heads with ease.
 
The most important aspect of this design is that we have spent vast amounts of time ensuring the fitment is absolutely perfect right out of the box. These have been designed to directly replace factory alternators and run the same backspacing so no need for extensive modifications if you are replacing your standard style alternator bracket.

Check product pictures for alternator spec. This bracket will work with Aeroflow & tuff stuff alternators along with many other brands.
 
This bracket has been designed to replace factory alternator bracket and will require raised face harmonic balancer as seen on factory engines. If you have aftermarket flat face balancer you will need to measure the balancer and purchase a raised hub for the balancer essentially bringing your aftermarket balancer back to factory measurement spec.
Recommended use is with mechanical water pump and idler pulley.

PLEASE NOTE: In some circumstances, for 8.2 deck Windsor with MSD HVC2 coil, the bracket may need to be rotated 180 degress to clear some timing covers.
