Our mid mount alternator bracket design is derived from the robust low mount version, featuring three strong bolt locations that secure directly to the engine block. However, not all vehicles are compatible with low mount brackets, making our mid mount solution a versatile alternative.

One key benefit of the mid mount design is that it doesn’t utilise water pump mounting holes or any features on the cylinder head. This flexibility allows for the use of both electric and mechanical water pumps without complications. Additionally, there’s no necessity to bolt into the cylinder head itself, eliminating the need for special brackets or unique hardware. The same Windsor bracket is compatible with both 8.2 and 9.5 deck height blocks, as well as various cylinder heads, including Cleveland heads.
The alternator mounting is isolated from the bracket, ensuring that servicing or replacing the alternator is a quick and straightforward process. The ample space around the alternator, particularly at the rear for accessing power connections, enhances safety by preventing any damage from rubbing against the cylinder head.

Our mid mount bracket also includes provisions for an idler pulley, featuring a simple M10 hole setup compatible with any brand of M10 idler pulley. This addition addresses the previous challenge of achieving adequate belt wrap, which often resulted in slippage under load, leading to belt squeal and insufficient operation of the water pump and alternator.
Moreover, we are in the process of designing add-on brackets that can easily attach to the mid mount bracket. These will secure a low mount AC pump (Sanden SD7) and pave the way for a complete track system that will integrate a power steering pump.
In summary, the mid mount alternator bracket is the ideal all-around replacement that leverages modern technology and innovative design, ensuring reliability and efficiency for your vehicle.
