The UNRVLD 95 mm Cylinder Ball Hone is available in 240-grit and 320-grit silicon carbide, giving you the choice of a more aggressive or finer surface finish depending on the application.
The 95 mm diameter is suited to bores slightly smaller than the tool diameter, including 3.625-inch / 92.1 mm Holden 253 cylinder bores. The flexible abrasive-ball construction follows the bore to help remove light glazing and restore an even crosshatch finish for improved ring seating.
Choose your grit:
- 240 Grit – suited to traditional and older-style engine applications where a more aggressive surface refresh is required.
- 320 Grit – suited to applications requiring a finer finished surface.
Features:
- 95 mm diameter
- Available in 240 or 320 grit
- Silicon-carbide abrasive
- 300 mm overall length
- Flexible ball-hone construction
- Ideal for light deglazing and cylinder surface refreshing
- Suitable for Holden 253 3.625-inch / 92.1 mm bores
- Use with suitable honing lubricant
Ball hones are intended for light deglazing and surface refreshing only. They are not a substitute for precision boring and honing equipment. Always measure the bore, follow the piston-ring manufacturer’s finish requirements, use suitable honing lubricant, and thoroughly clean the bore before assembly.
