Low mount AC bracket
This bracket is designed to go with our mid mount alternator bracket and idler pulley as an add-on. This ac bracket will not work solo.
 
This bracket is made to fit most vehicles and sits very tight and close to the engine block. As each car and engine combination can change, we advise checking there is ample room for a low mount ac compressor prior to purchase.
 
This bracket has been designed to run the SANDEN SD-7B10 compressor. If using our pulleys and belt you will need to purchase the 6pk pulley version.
 
Mid Mount Alternator Bracket

Designed by an engine builder, this bracket is extremely strong and holds the alternator close to the factory location.
 
The key elements that set this mid mount bracket apart:
Made from strong 6061 billet alloy.
Space for idler pulley. This reduces the amount of belt shake/slap under high rpm loads, helping extend belt life.
Doesn't touch the cylinder heads.
Perfect fitment right out of the box - designed to directly replace factory alternator brackets and run the same backspacing so no need for extensive modifications if you are replacing your standard style alternator bracket.
 
NOTES:
This alternator bracket is designed to suit Ford Windsor V8 engines (289, 302, 351W) when used with 1969-onwards OEM-spec timing covers.
 
 Compatible With:
1969+ OEM-style timing covers
Left-hand inlet mechanical or electric water pumps
Standard 4-bolt raised face harmonic balancers
 
Photos shown reflect correct water pump and timing cover configuration.
 
 Not Compatible With:
Pre-1969 timing covers (right-hand inlet, 3-bolt balancers)
5.0L EFI timing covers (reverse rotation pumps, crank angle sensor mounts)
Belt-drive or billet timing covers (these differ from OEM spec and may require custom modification)
 
Please verify pulley alignment, water pump style, and clearance before installation. If you're unsure, feel free to contact us for guidance.
 
Check product pictures for alternator spec. This bracket will work with Powermaster & Aeroflow alternators along with many other brands.
 
Works on standard blocks with standard 5/16 bolt hole sizes. If your timing cover bolt sizes vary from 5/16 (such as for iron eagle blocks) then you will need to bring them back to oem spec by using thread inserts. 
 
Designed to replace factory alternator bracket and will require 4 bolt raised face OEM spec harmonic balancer as seen on factory engines. If you have an aftermarket flat face balancer you will need to measure the balancer and purchase a raised hub for the balancer essentially bringing your aftermarket balancer back to factory measurement spec.
 
Recommended use is with mechanical water pump and idler pulley.

These brackets have been tested with aeroflow 140 amp ford alternators (Delco body) AF4273-1140

PLEASE NOTE: In some circumstances, for 8.2 deck Windsor with MSD HVC2 coil, the bracket may need to be rotated 180 degress to clear some timing covers.

Important Notes:
Alternator must be properly grounded to the engine block. Painted or coated brackets can prevent grounding - run a dedicated ground wire if needed.
Battery must be 12.6V+ when fully charged. Weak batteries can cause alternator failure.
Do not disconnect the battery while running - this can destroy the alternator.
Alternator spins ~2.5× crankshaft speed; max safe alternator speed is 15,000 RPM. Engines above 6,000 RPMmust confirm pulley ratios. (Supplied pulley: 1.75".)
